Here you can
see the tip of my prop and if you look real hard, you can
see the Prop Guard tape that covers the leading edge.
I saw this advertised and it sounded like a good idea.
It comes with an STC and is fairly easy to apply.
Since my prop was just overhauled, I had a nice smooth
surface to apply the tape and it seems to be working fine.
On my last airplane, a Cessna 150, I was always getting
nicks in the leading edge from sand and rocks and such.
This really seems to prevent that sort of erosion damage.
The tape itself is made of some really tough pliable
material about a tenth of an inch thick which protects the
leading edge.
