The original struts
that arrived with the aircraft were not sealed and had the
original attach forks. I ordered the Univair Sealed Struts
with the Heavy Duty Forks and when they arrived, had them painted
at a local shop located at the Healdsburg airport. As you
can see, the owner there, Larry, did a great job. I
installed them onto the aircraft and added the door clip straps
which I purchased from Jenson Aero in Salida, Colorado. I
modified the upper strut fairings using Rivnuts to allow machine
screws to be used instead of the original sheet metal screws that
went into the struts.
